My favourite character was Florida because she was always saying"my real Dad does" and I liked her especially because at then end she writes on the moon Hello Dad. This book is about an 11 year old boy called Liam Bigby and everyone thinks he is an adult so he wins a competition to China to be the best. But the problem is he isn't so he pretends to Florida's dad and gets launched in a rocket and gets lost in space but they find their way back.

As i began to read cosmic i thought excitment and adventure but as i began to read futher i thourght in the book it was boring, bland. Cosmic should be aimed at the children of the age of 8-10 year olds becauseany eight year old would love to go to the moon whereas a 12 year old wouldn't dream of it because they know it wouldn't happen only if they become a astronatort!! if i was to redraft this book this book i would add more real-life experances because it give the story more humor and laughter. Cosmic dosn't really invole any charcaters and if i was going to add anything in the story i would more characters to make it more intersting. Overall i would discribe it as bland !!

The book is about a boy who is very tall. The book I'm talking about is cosmic! I didn't enjoy it because it wasn`t really for me because I love books with drama and this book didn`t have drama in it. The start of the story just didn`t bring me in for eg it started with "Mum if you can hear me"and doesn`t drag me in.I think the author could change the start of the story like he could explain the characters first. It just didn`t make me want to read on.Some parts of the story did drag me in because they were funny or interesting.I don`t really like some of the characters because they don`t have that magical spark. The magical spark I`m talking about means that they don`t really have a funny side about them and they don`t have attention from me for eg it just stops me from reading.I recommend this book for boys 8-10

'Cosmic' is a very funny book that you never want to end whilt you are reading it. I personally was very sad when I reached the final letter in the final word in the final paragraph on the final page.

'Cosmic' is about twelve year old Liam Digby who is vCery tall, has a beard and some people mistake him for an adult. This is the very funny and enjoyable tale of how he went to a theme park, won a competition, got a free sandwich, had a mutational growth spurt and went up north. So much up north that he ended up in space. All whilst finding time to ride in a limo and a private jet. Not to mention China. You are definetely going to enjoy the comedy, the reading experience and sheer size of this ginormous pre-teen. I f you are into comedy, or just brilliant books, this is a sure-fire winner for a spot on you bookshelf.

I like the fact that he is speaking to you as if you knew him well and were sitting next to him having a conversation. Liam Digby, the main character in 'Cosmic' is the narrator and speaking in the 1st person.

In my opinion 'Cosmic' is a must buy, must read novel. Cosmic was shortlisted for the Guardians Childrens fiction prize and the Roald Dahl funny prize.

Also, Frank Cottrel Boyce is a Carnegie medal award winning author. He has realesed two other great books that I am itching to read. Millions, the winner of the CILIP Carnegie medal and was shortlisted and was shortlisted fot the Guardians Childrens Fiction Prize and the Blue Peter Book Award. Framed was his other book, it was shortlisted for the CILIP Carnegie medal, the Blue Peter Book Award and the Whitbread award. Millions, his debut novel was published in TWENTY-SEVEN different languages. He is also a succesful screen writer, his credits include 'Twenty four hour party people', 'Hilary and Jackie' 'Welcome to Sarajevo' and 'Millions' the film directed by Danny Boyle. Frank is a father of seven and lives with his family in Liverpool.

Thank you for taking your time to read my book review on 'Cosmic' by Frank Cottrel Boyce. I hope you read and enjoy this book. I hope my book review was enjoyable and interesting.

Im writing about Cosmic because i think it is a inspiring book for kids my age (11). Cosmic tells a story about a young boy who is going into secondary school but he looks like he is about to start work because he has a beard and he has over grown over the summer. And on the first day of school he had to shave because his beard was as twice as long before the summer. I think it's funny and engaging and at the end it's very moving for me and my friends. I think Frank Cotterell Boyce was a genius for writing Cosmic it's a great story and it's got a great storyline to it so congrats to Frank Cotterell Boyce.

I think Cosmic was inspiring and very funny. It also taught naughty children a lesson. It is an exciting, funny story that you don't want to put down. It has won lots of awards and I think it should win the best book in the world award.
It is bascially about a twelve year old boy that is tall for his age so pretends to be an adult and ends up in chaos.

I like the beginning of Cosmic when Liam went with his school to the out door activity centre because of the cosmic ride.I thought it was funny and crazy
In the middle of the book I liked the idea of the ride where the elastic band released the cage because I have never seen any thing like it before in my life.
The ending of the book was good because he does not go to spacebut the book makes it sound like he was in space.

This book is amazing and it made me laugh and is very intriguing but the best part is when the boy was talking about that at his new school he said that all the teachers kept saying you should know better for a big lad when he’s the same age the other pupils. Any way I thought this book was really great, I couldn't put it down! long-legged Liam makes a giant leap for mankind by competing with a group of adults for the chance to go into space. Is Liam the best boy for the job sometimes being big isn't all about being a grown-up.

This book was really interesting i loved all the humourous jokes but to be completely honest it was a bit childish because of the whole space theme, even though Liam is about thirteen the book should be about a regular thirteen year old but for some reason a thirteen year old is acting like he is five again. But one day it gets worse when he fakes is reference for going into space with his freind [as his daughter] and himself as the dad.
Although his parents think he is out on a school trip. He is then actually in SPACE.
Futhermore, as he is in space, he has to look after three other children[ who really think he is a n adult].
In my opinion, I would say that children shold understand f adults are children. This is because they know how a child is supposed to behave.
